Head of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union (AIPU), Lower House Speaker Atef Tarawneh slammed an Israeli attack in Lebanon, which injured several civilians.

In a statement Monday, Tarawneh called on the international community to implement international legitimacy resolutions to put an end to Israeli violations and its persistent threats to Lebanon's sovereignty.

He lauded the Lebanese army and people's steadfastness in the face of recurrent Israeli aggressions and violations, affirming Lebanon's right to regain sovereignty over all its occupied territories, in accordance with the relevant international resolutions.

Tarawneh voiced the AIPU's unwavering support for Lebanon to consolidate its national unity, and mobilize efforts against the Israeli aggression.
