- A man was injured early Tuesday by flying glass as a result of a fire that broke out in a restaurant in Al-Madina Street of West Amman after a gas leak in the kitchen, the Civil Defense Department (CDD) media office said in a statement.

West Amman's CDD firefighters and rescue teams rushed to the scene, put out the flames and administered first aid to the injured and evacuated him to Jordan University Hospital, the statement added.

"An investigation was launched into the incident," the statement further added.
