Cabinet endorses merger of Water Authority with Ministry
جهينة نيوز -The Cabinet on Sunday approved a draft amendment to the law on restructuring governmental institutions and departments for 2020.
The draft law aims to integrate the Water Authority into the Ministry of Water and Irrigation in line with the government's second bundle of economic reform program aimed at raising performance and controlling spending.
The amendment is to regulate the water sector and standardize the decision-making references at the ministry and the Jordan Valley Authority and to prevent duplication of duties and conflict in their jurisdiction.
