JEDCO, EBRD sign agreement benefiting local companies

جهينة نيوز - The Jordan Enterprise Development Corporation (JEDCO) Wednesday signed an agreement with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) connecting small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) to the bank to benefit from the consultancy services program and the financial support that covers consultancy fees.

The agreement, signed by JEDCO's Executive Director Bashar al-Zoubi and EBRD's Director of the Eastern Mediterranean Region Heike Harmgart, includes the exchange of information in the field of developing and networking SMEs to obtain the consultancy services they need.

Al-Zoubi said the JEDCO is working to build an integrated relationship with the funding institutions to link SMEs with specialized agencies that provide financial and technical support services that meet their needs, and boost the corporation's relationship with the bank to serve the interests of these companies.

Harmgart said the bank reviewed and approved the applications of 34 companies from various sectors across the Kingdom, and provided technical services to 14 of them, with a 100,000 euros funding in the form of non-refundable grants.
