Israeli extremists storm Jerusalem Mosque under police escort

جهينة نيوز - Dozens of Jewish settlers and extremists on Tuesday broke into the al-Aqsa Mosque/ Haram al-Sharif compound in occupied Jerusalem in ongoing breaches of the sanctity of one of Islam's holiest shrines, according to Palestinian sources.

General Director of the Islamic Waqf (endowment) and Al-Aqsa Affairs, Sheikh Azzam al-Khatib, said the intruders were escorted into the holy complex through the Bab al-Magharebah Gate.

Police closed the gate this morning after 56 settlers and ultraorthodox Jews made into the Al Aqsa plaza where they performed prayers in a provocation against Muslim worshippers and guards.
