Civil Defence officer killed in line of duty offered military funeral

جهينة نيوز - A Civil Defence Department officer who was killed in the line of duty was laid to rest Saturday in his hometown in the Mafraq Governorate.

Warrant Officer Menwer Al Sarhan died in a traffic accident while civil defence personnel were dealing with an incident within their area of jurisdiction.

He was accorded a military funeral in his hometown of Sama Al Sarhan, where senior officers of security agencies and the armed forces joined local crowds to pay their respects.

The family of the officer expressed their pride in their son who offered his life for the country.
