Health Ministry's hospitals receive 55, 000 patients during Eid holiday
The Ministry of Health's hospitals received some 55 thousand patients, during the Eid al-Adha holiday.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the ministry said the hospitals' emergency departments received 46, 000 patients and provided medical service as usual, 24 hours a day.
The number of admissions to hospitals amounted to 2,802 and the number of surgeries reached 216, with 1,435 dialysis sessions, the statement pointed out.
Al-Bashir Hospital received the largest number of patients, totaling around about 9,493, followed by Zarqa Hospital with about 3,891 and Princess Basma Hospital in Irbid with more than 3,552 patients, the statement noted.
