AND foils drug smuggling attempt

جهينة نيوز - The Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) foiled an attempt to smuggle 600,000 narcotic pills outside the Kingdom, an official source announced.

AND personnel received a tip on plans to smuggle narcotics through a crossing border to a neighboring country using two stone-loaded trucks, said Spokesperson of the Public Security Department.

After following leads, police intercepted the trucks, searched them, seized the contraband, and apprehended four individuals.

The case was transferred to the State Security Court's Prosecutor General, the spokesperson added.
