Private hospitals welcome the government's decision to reduce electricity tariffs

 the privet hospitals Association welcomed the government's decision to reduce electricity tariffs on private hospitals from 160 fils to 140 fils, describing the decision as a step in the right direction.  
In Journalist interview for association on Saturday evening,  The president of the association ,Dr  Fawzi Al-Hammoury, said that the decision will reflect positively on the private hospital sector and ease its burdens that have increased as a result of the repercussions of the new Corona pandemic, which will reduce the operating costs of private hospitals and enable them to develop their business and improve their performance level services and modernization of its medical equipment. 
  He added that the decision to reduce the electric tariff will contribute to reducing the medical bill for Jordanian and expatriate patients, and enhance opportunities for reviving medical tourism, which will provide more job opportunities for Jordanians and reduce unemployment rates, especially since the private hospital sector occupies more than 35,000 workers, while more than 60 thousand work in the support sectors. 
Hammoury stressed that the association will continue its efforts to enable this investment sector to reduce more of its operating expenses, enhance its capabilities and potentials, achieve further development in its services provided to patients, and increase the volume of investment in the sector, which currently stands at 3 billion dinars.
