Saudi Arabia: Home to the first airport in the world to deliver Sign Language technologies on its website
Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia - April12, 2021 - Mind Rockets Inc., the leading developer of assistive technologies for the Deaf, announced adding A.I. basedSign Language assistive technologies on the website of King Khalid International Airport in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It’s worth mentioning that the technology is developed by a team of both Deaf and hearing people working hand in hand at Mind Rockets to ensure that people with disabilities are fully involved in creating the technology that serves them.

Inc., shared his excitement at this accomplishment, saying: "Official estimates
of the number of Deaf and hard of hearing in Saudi Arabia range from 700,000 to
one million people, 13 million in the Arab world, in addition to 460 million
worldwide. Therefore, we believe that making this technology available on King
Khaled International Airport will greatly contribute to the empowerment of the
Deaf and hard of hearing worldwide by enabling them to access information and
services on websites like other community members.”

Visitors to the King Khalid International Airport website in Riyadh will now be able to activate this feature by clicking on the Deaf icon on the website. Following that, an avatar will welcome the user in Sign Language and interpret the text the visitor highlights simultaneously into Saudi Sign Language.
